Conversations in Ethics: One of Our Toughest Cases Related to Living Wills

Miami, FL US
February 21, 2018

Learning about clinical ethics can help physicians and healthcare professionals understand how to honor and advocate for an incapacitated patient’s rights, especially when the patient’s end-of-life wishes are stated in a living will. Living wills cannot cover all possible clinical scenarios.  Join us as we examine a challenging case in which conflicting decisions were being made by the legal decision-maker. We will also explore approaches the healthcare provider might use when he/she is talking with families who are conflicted in their decisions.

Target Audience

Physicians, Psychologists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Social Workers, Clinical Chaplains, Occupational Therapists, Medical Students, and other interested healthcare professionals.
