COURSE DESCRIPTION:
These coding education courses aligns with the Baptist Health Corporate Compliance that supports the Office of Inspector General annual plan for provider coding compliance. Learners will enhance their ability to adhere to Evaluation & Management (E&M) Guidelines, CMS Documentation Standards and Provider Coding Compliance and Documentation, Quality Measures and Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) Coding and Compliance Standards. This course provides an update on CMS Guidelines that will go into effect January 1, 2021.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Baptist Health Medical Group, Baptist Health Quality Network and all interested Community Physicians.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Implement CMS Documentation Guidelines.
Utilize electronic health record to include accurate Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding documentation requirements, medical necessity and Evaluation & Management (E&M) codes.
