ForwardHWCI Radiation Oncology Grand Rounds: Advancing Proton Therapy with IMPT and SBPT for Prostate Cancer Treatment
This course provides a comprehensive overview of contemporary proton therapy approaches for localized prostate cancer, with a focus on Intensity-Modulated Proton Therapy (IMPT) and Stereotactic Proton Beam Therapy (SBPT). Participants will explore the physical and radiobiological principles that distinguish proton therapy from conventional photon-based radiation therapy, emphasizing the potential for improved target conformity and reduced dose to surrounding organs at risk.
