South Miami Hospital OB/GYN Grand Rounds: Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative Pregnancy-Related Optimal Management of Hypertension
Maternal hypertension is now the leading cause of pregnancy-related deaths in Florida, largely preventable deaths. Join us for an important educational session focused on evidence-based strategies for managing severe hypertension during pregnancy and the postpartum period, including timely treatment of persistent hypertension, appropriate initiation of magnesium sulfate, and safe discharge planning with antihypertensive medications.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration and adherence to Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) bundle best practices, this activity supports the statewide implementation of the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative’s (FPQC) PROMPT initiative.
