COURSE DESCRIPTION:

In the realm of modem healthcare, diagnostic testing plays a vital role in identifying and managing various medical conditions. Clinical, diagnostic, and hospital labs utilize Quality Control Programs which serve as the backbone of accurate, reproducible, and reliable testing with minimal or no variability across the entire BHSF, enabling healthcare providers to make informed decisions about patient care.

Accurate diagnosis relies not only on the proficiency of healthcare providers but also on the quality controls implemented in diagnostic testing. High-quality QCs serve as a benchmark against which test results are compared. These controls consist of known samples with predefined values that are used to validate and monitor the accuracy and precision of test results.

By regularly running quality controls, clinical and vascular labs can detect and correct any potential errors or deviations, thereby minimizing false positives and false negatives. This ensures that healthcare providers can confidently rely on diagnostic test results for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment decisions throughout the patient's journey.
