Miami Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology Grand Rounds – Targeted Radiation in Gynecological Cancers: MRI Intraoperative Brachytherapy and Stereotactic Ablation
Brachytherapy (BT), a type of focal anti-cancer radiotherapy, delivers a highly focused radiation dose to localized tumors, sparing surrounding normal tissues.
During this grand rounds Dr. Eric Leung will help participants understand the process of intraoperative MRI-based brachytherapy. Participants will also understand the role of stereotactic radiation in ablation and pelvic radiation therapy.
