Miami Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology Grand Rounds – Radiotherapy for Abdominal Tumors of Childhood: Evolution & Novel Approaches
During the lecture, review of overall treatment paradigms for high-risk neuroblastoma and Wilms tumor will be provided. We will discuss the details of radiotherapy treatment for these diseases, as well as controversies that exist with regard to management. We will consider radiotherapy options in the setting of normal tissue exposure, and the impact of this exposure on survivorship health. Finally, we will explore ways in which childhood cancer survivors can and should be supported by the radiation oncology community.
