Oral mucositis (OM) is a common and debilitating side effect of cancer therapies, particularly chemotherapy and radiation therapy targeting the head and neck. It manifests as painful inflammation and ulceration of the oral
mucosa, significantly impacting nutrition, speech, quality of life, and treatment adherence.
