MCI – Genomic Testing in Prostate Cancer: A Practical Guide from Guidelines to Clinical Action

December 11, 2025

Despite advancements in precision medicine, genomic testing remains underutilized in prostate cancer care—particularly in community and resource-limited settings. This educational activity provides a practical framework for integrating genomic testing into routine clinical practice. It offers evidence-based updates, guidance on interpreting test results, and actionable strategies for applying genomic insights to treatment decisions. By addressing barriers to implementation and promoting equitable care, the activity empowers clinicians to improve outcomes and reduce disparities in prostate cancer management.

Target Audience

Medical oncologist, urologist, radiation oncologist, APRN, nurses, pharmacists, research coordinators and all other interested healthcare professionals.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify common barriers to genomic testing, including disparities in access and utilization, and propose strategies to overcome them.
  • Apply genomic test results to personalize treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes in both academic and community practice settings.
  • Integrate quality improvement approaches into clinical practice to enhance equity and consistency in genomic testing.
