Genitourinary Malignancies

This practical course provides primary care practitioners with current screening guidelines for all genitourinary malignancies as well as the evidence supporting these guidelines and recommendations. Practitioners will review current screening guidelines for prostate, bladder, kidney and testes cancers.

 

Target Audience

Family Physicians, General Internists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Respiratory Therapists and Pharmacists.

Learning Objectives

  • Implement current screening guidelines for early identification of genitourinary cancers and evaluate the evidence supporting these guidelines, including, role of PSA testing. 
  • Explain how to appropriately manage hematuria and frontline imaging.
  • Recognize appropriate therapies and applicable post-therapy follow-up for genitourinary malignancies.
  • Evaluate potential pitfalls associated with post-cystectomy testing.
