Echocardiography and Noninvasive Vascular Testing Lecture Series: Surgical Management of Lower Extremity Chronic Venous Insufficiency

April 26, 2023

Chronic venous disease refers to a wide spectrum of longstanding abnormalities. These morphologic abnormalities may result from venous hypertension; one of the etiologies of venous hypertension is reflux (superficial, deep). Vein-related problems may or may not be symptomatic and, when symptomatic, include a wide range of clinical signs that vary from minimal superficial venous dilation to chronic skin changes with ulceration.

During this educational activity, Dr. Steven Kang will focus on the imaging protocols and criteria used in the diagnosis of the disease and updates on surgical options in managing chronic venous insufficiency.
