Vascular access is the lifeline for the hemodialysis patient, but its maintenance is a difficult undertaking. 
This webinar will provide clinicians with a comprehensive overview of the clinical factors resulting in fistula dysfunction and the role of duplex ultrasound imaging in the evaluation and monitoring of hemodialysis access.
 

Target Audience

Cardiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, echocardiography and noninvasive vascular testing specialists, nurses, sonographers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists.

  • Describe the role of duplex ultrasound in fistula surveillance. 
  • Apply clinical guidelines in the interpretation of velocity criteria for fistula stenosis. 
  • Apply clinical guidelines for the volumetric flow criteria to identify failing fistula.
