Echocardiography and Noninvasive Vascular Testing Lecture Series: Aortic Regurgitation: What Should I Look for Before Sending My Patients for Surgery?

September 29, 2022

Aortic valve (AV) repair is the preferred surgical treatment for young patients with aortic regurgitation; however, this surgical option is still underused in clinical practice. This emphasizes the need to build a heart team dedicated to AV repair with expert surgeons and echocardiographers.

Join us to hear Elliott J. Elias, M.D., as he discusses the need for a standardized preoperative imaging protocol to fulfill surgeons’ needs in providing a road map and predicting techniques to be used for an effective and durable repair.
