Echocardiography and Noninvasive Vascular Testing Lecture Series: Anatomical vs. Functional Approach in the Evaluation of Lower Extremity Peripheral Arterial Disease
Although anatomical imaging (duplex ultrasonography, CT and MR) provide valuable information about the extent and exact location of lesions, most experts strongly recommend a combination of physiologic and imaging testing to diagnose, better stratify and manage peripheral arterial disease.
This educational activity will provide a summary of the basic and advanced diagnostic testing and criteria used in the classification and management of arterial insufficiency.
Target Audience
Cardiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, echocardiography and noninvasive vascular testing specialists, nurses, sonographers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists.
