Echocardiographic Identification and Management of Pericardial Effusion
In this course, Elliot Elias, M.D., discusses management of pericardial effusion, guidelines for pericardiocentesis and echocardiographic assessment of cardiac tamponade. A simulation follows with instructions from Alex Powell, M.D., and Brian Schiro, M.D. on how to perform a pericardiocentesis under ultrasound guidance.
