There are more than 120,000 people in the US waiting for a life-saving transplant. Organ donation, allocation and transplantation are multifaceted, multifactorial intricate processes. Public trust must be maintained through delicate balancing of seemingly incongruent values; justice and utility. Join us as we discuss the process of organ donation, especially what happens after authorization is granted by the family i.e. donor testing, organ allocation, organ preservation, and donor family support.
