Conversations in Ethics: Critical Access Hospital: Challenges for Healthcare Professionals - August 18, 2017
Critical access hospitals, which serve nearly 20% of the U.S. population and are the foundation of rural healthcare delivery, are subject to eligibility requirements and face distinct patient care challenges compared to urban and suburban hospitals. Using case studies, we will be discussing the uniqueness of our critical access hospital in the geographically isolated Florida Keys and how we provide care and services to our patient population.
Target Audience
Physicians, Psychologists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, Clinical Chaplains, Medical Students, and other interested healthcare professionals.
