Baptist Health Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) Care Management

This course provides practitioners with the latest, evidence-based guidelines for the appropriate management of critical limb ischemia.

Target Audience

Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute affiliated physicians as well as any interested Cardiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Hospitalists and Physician Assistants. 

Learning Objectives

  • Differentiate acute vs. chronic CLI and potential terminology or key words associated with lower limb CLI.
  • Identify risk factors associated with CLI.
  • Explain the evidence supporting standardization of treatment options for CLI based on current evidence-based practices.
  • Utilize evidence-based protocols and guidelines including acute and chronic CLI protocols, and identify the timing for protocol implementation based on evidence-based practices in the emergency department and acute care setting.
  • Explain current clinical criteria for identification of CLI patients.
  • Identify current clinical diagnostic exams and results to help facilitate diagnosis of acute or chronic CLI.
