Autism Spectrum Disorder Conference, 16th Annual

Miami, FL US
April 11, 2018

CDC estimated that an average of one in 68 children in the U.S has an autism spectrum disorder. CDC is working to find out how many children have autism spectrum disorders, discover the risk factors, and raise awareness of the signs. The need for autism-specific screening during pediatric well-child visits has been established. However, additional support for specific screening instruments is needed. Dr. Luis Carcache will discuss tools to identify autism spectrum disorders in a primary care setting, and Dr. Daniel Castellanos will address best practices for psychotropic medication use for children and adolescents.
