COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Palliative care offers many benefits to patients with serious illness, but misconceptions about palliative care continue to exist. This talk will explain the benefits of palliative care, introduce strategies for discussing palliative care in a positive way, and explore challenges around communication with seriously ill patients.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Internal Medicine Physicians, Physician Assistants, Residents, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Pharmacists and all other interested healthcare providers.
