COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Foot and ankle orthopedic sports medicine physicians are specially trained in the total care of athletes and other active people. They work closely with orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers and athletes and assist in assessing injuries and determining appropriate return-to-play goals.   
 
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Orthopedists, Team Physicians, Primary Care Physicians, Pediatricians, Physicians in Training, Physician Assistants, Athletic Trainers, Exercise Physiologists, Nurses and other interested healthcare providers.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

• Identify different approached to surgical cases to improve outcomes and patient safety.
• Implement anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, gait pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, pain management and immunology as they relate to foot     and ankle orthopedics.
• Assess surgical and clinical cases to improve outcomes and patient safety.
• Compare up-to-date foot and ankle journals related to foot and ankle specialties.
