COURSE DESCRIPTION: 
Fine-particle air pollution in Miami, Florida, has been increasing steadily, with an estimated increase of 30 percent from 2015 through 2021. Ambient air pollution has been linked to increased risk for a variety of chronic diseases. Due to increasing temperatures, Florida has additional potential health risks, including severe storms, vector-borne diseases and heat illness. Scientific evidence indicates that patient health is already impacted by increased days of extreme heat.  Join presenters from the Miami-Dade Heat Task Force and Florida Clinicians for Climate Action as they address how to identify signs and symptoms of illness associated with the impact of climate change.
