COURSE DESCRIPTION:

A bone marrow transplant, also known as a stem cell transplant, is a treatment to replace unhealthy bone marrow with healthy stem cells that will make the bone marrow healthy again. During these case studies participants will optimize risk stratifications of patients being considered for a bone marrow transplant.  

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, General Surgeons, Pathologists, Radiologists, Nurses, Patient Care Facilitators and all Personnel involved in the care of the hematology cancer patient.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Analyze risk stratifications in patients being considered for a bone marrow transplant.  
  • Develop comprehensive care plans of complex clinical management of patients. 
  • Discuss clinical decisions and optimize timely referral of patients for potential bone marrow transplants.
