COURSE DESCRIPTION

In Baptist Health’s unique training program, participants practice cognitive, technical and behavioral skills on computer-operated mannequins programmed to replicate life-threatening medical emergencies. The interactive simulation models are developed to respond to participants’ actions. Immediate debriefing allows multidisciplinary teams to reflect on their communication, actions and overall performance.

The Simulation Lab offers various courses for inter-professional teams in anesthesia, peri-operative, labor and delivery, neonatology and emergency medicine for both adult and pediatric care.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Obstetricians, Labor and Delivery Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Midwives, Anesthesiologists and CRNAs
