OB/GYN Conference Series: Carrier Screening 1.0

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends counseling all pregnant patients to receive carrier screening. Three specific hereditary disorders should be reviewed with all patients including cystic fibrosis, fragile x syndrome and spinal muscular atrophy. Counseling can be challenging and at times confusing to both the patient and the physician.

Join us to hear Dr. Dibe Martin outline the principles of who, when and how carrier screening should be implemented and appropriate patient follow up if the case of a positive result.
