Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a growing public health concern that remains underdiagnosed and undertreated. In its most severe form, critical limb ischemia, PAD leads to significant morbidity through limb amputation and is strongly associated with increased mortality due to its link with coronary and cerebrovascular disease.
In this webinar, Constantino S. Peña, M.D., will review updated guideline-directed strategies for PAD management, including patient selection, noninvasive arterial testing protocols, diagnostic criteria for classifying disease severity, and timely communication of results to improve patient outcomes.

Cardiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, echocardiography and noninvasive vascular testing specialists, nurses, sonographers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists.

Learning Objectives
- Identify appropriate patients for PAD evaluation based on clinical presentation, risk factors, and disease pathophysiology.
- Apply step-by-step protocols for noninvasive lower extremity arterial testing.
- Utilize appropriate diagnostic criteria to interpret normal and abnormal findings and classify the severity of PAD.
- Communicate critical test results effectively and in a timely manner to referring providers to support improved patient outcomes.
