Climate Change, Heat and Dermatological Health
Target Audience
Physicians, Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and all other interested healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the role of skin in heat dissipation.
- Identify patients with impaired heat dissipation who are more vulnerable to heat stress.
- Recognize adverse dermatological disorders that are exacerbated by increased heat and pollution exposure.
- Recommend appropriate strategies to patients to decrease their risk for adverse dermatological manifestations related to heat and pollution exposure.
