Autism Spectrum - A Holistic Approach to Healthcare for People with Autism: Improving Health Outcomes and Services
The prevalence of autism has increased significantly over the past two decades. While this increase may be largely attributed to broader diagnostic criteria and an increase in overall awareness of autism, it nonetheless means there has never been a greater need to gain a better understanding of this condition that affects so many. Join Dr. Yolangel Hernandez Suarez, Dr. Prisa Zachariah, and Nicole Attong as they explain how they are committed to providing the autism community with resources that help improve health outcomes to families with a system of care model.
Target Audience
Pediatricians, Neurologists, Family Practice Physicians, Psychiatrists, Hospitalists, Nurses, Social Workers, and other interested healthcare professionals and members of the community.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the components of the system of care model for autism.
- Recognize at least one strategy that can be implemented immediately.
- Provide comprehensive care for children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder.
