Update on Stroke Evaluation and Treatment
Felipe De Los Rios La Rosa, M.D., will provide learners with a review of early symptoms of stroke and how to implement appropriate treatment plans.
Target Audience
Family physicians, internal medicine, general internists, hospitalists, neurologists, cardiologists, oncologists, gastroenterologists, psychiatrists, infectious disease specialists, dietitians, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, respiratory therapists (direct delivery), physician associates/physician assistants, nurses and advanced practice registered nurses.
Learning Objectives
- Recognize early symptoms of stroke and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Determine which patients are generally considered candidates for IV thrombolysis and/or endovascular thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke.
- Implement a comprehensive outpatient secondary prevention of stroke treatment plan.
