OB/GYN Conference Series - Diagnosis and Management of Thyroid Disease During Pregnancy and the Post-Partum Period

Miami, FL US
March 9, 2018

Pregnancy has a profound impact on the thyroid gland and its function. The diagnosis of thyroid disease during pregnancy requires an understanding of the changes in thyroid physiology and thyroid function tests that accompany normal pregnancy. Join us, as Dr. Hara Berger outlines these normal changes and presents the new evidence-based recommendations from the American Thyroid Association (ATA) that provides guidance to clinicians in diagnosing and managing thyroid disease during pregnancy and the postpartum period. With an estimated 300,000 pregnancies impacted by thyroid disease in the United States annually, these guidelines combine the best available evidence into clear clinical recommendations resulting in improved health of mothers and newborns alike.
