Miami Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology Grand Rounds – Proton Radiation for Locally Advanced Breast Cancer, Practical Information and Clinical Trials
During this lecture, Shannon MacDonald, M.D. will review early experiences with proton therapy for locally advanced breast cancer (LABC) including key differences to be aware of and lessons from early applications of proton therapy. She will discuss critical aspects of planning including skin dose, implants and changes in breast tissue during radiation treatment.
