Miami Cancer Institute Multispecialty Grand Rounds: Immunotherapy in Sarcomas: Current State and Future Opportunities

Over the past decade, the development of novel therapies that mobilize the body’s immune system in attacking tumors has revolutionized the treatment of a still-growing list of solid and hematological malignancies. However, the current era of immuno-oncology (IO) has yet to have a major impact upon the treatment of sarcomas.
During this lecture Dr. Florou will review the evidence on immunotherapy in sarcomas and discuss future treatments.

Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Hematology Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Endocrinologists, Pulmonologists, Otolaryngologists,  General Surgeons, General Practitioners, Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Nurses, Sonographers, Patient Navigators and all other interested healthcare professionals.

Learning Objectives

  • Effectively identify patients with sarcoma who are candidates for immunotherapy and determine the most appropriate immunotherapy to improve their outcomes. 
  • Identify new immunotherapy treatments being developed to further advance the medical management of cancer patients.
