Evidence-based Clinical Care: Pre-Anesthesia/Sedation Testing Guidelines and Pre-Surgical NPO Guidelines

This evidence-based clinical care course provides practitioners with step-by-step training on the use of a new documentation tool within the Baptist Health electronic medical record for presurgical evaluation.

  • Identify pre-anesthesia/sedation testing guidelines for low/intermediate/high-risk procedures, including patient comorbidities and patient evaluation tool for noncardiac procedures.
  • Describe the benefits and inclusion/exclusion criteria of Baptist Health Surgical Fasting Guidelines.
