Echocardiography and Noninvasive Vascular Testing Lecture Series: Advances in Echocardiography: Strain Without Stress
Despite recent advances in clinical imaging, echocardiography remains the most accessible and reliable noninvasive imaging tool in the assessment of left ventricular systolic function. This lecture will address basic technique, current applications and diagnostic criteria of strain echocardiography of the left ventricle.

- Recognize basic concepts of strain echocardiography imaging.
- Identify the different applications of strain echocardiography imaging.
- Describe systematic protocol for left ventricular strain echocardiography imaging.
- Demonstrate normal and abnormal strain echocardiography imaging findings and explain the criteria used in the diagnosis of disease.
