In January, we are excited to welcome Joseph Fins, M.D., a distinguished expert from Weill Cornell Medical College, as our guest speaker.
Dr. Fins will delve into the critical topic of clinical ethics and brain injury, focusing on the ethical challenges and evolving medical landscape surrounding disorders of consciousness. These conditions, including coma, vegetative state and minimally conscious state, have seen a significant rise in diagnosis and treatment due to advances in medical technology and a growing understanding of brain function.
