Laws and Rules of Florida Nursing Practice

Designed specifically to meet Florida Board of Nursing continuing education relicensure requirements on the laws and rules governing the practice of nursing in Florida as per Rule 64B9-5.013. Florida statutes Chapters 456 (Health Professions and Occupations: General Provisions), Chapter 464 (Nurse Practice Act), and the rules outlined in Title 64B9 of the Florida Administrative Code. Nurses will learn how laws and rules, as regulated by the Board of Nursing, provide safe parameters within which to work as well as protect patients from unprofessional and unsafe nursing practice.

A score of 70% or higher is required for course completion.

Samaritan Physicians: Successful completion of this activity will qualify Samaritan physicians for annual policy discounts. Upon completion, please print your certificate and submit to Samaritan for consideration.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Registered Nurses (RN), and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN).
