MCI Oncology Academic Educational Series – Improving the Quality of Life and Safety with Cancer Through Rehabilitation Medicine
Cancer rehabilitation involves many types of specialists working together to develop a personal rehabilitation plan that considers your preferences, strengths and goals. Participating in the cancer rehabilitation program may help you experience a fuller or quicker recovery.
During this conference Dr. Cristian will describe the impact of cancer treatment for cancer patients.
Target Audience
Oncology Nurses, Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Hematology Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Social Workers, Patient Navigators and other interested healthcare providers.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the treatment of cancer treatment on muscles.
- Assess frailty and risk of falling in cancer patients and cancer survivors.
- Identify cancer related impairments in head and neck cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer and gynecologic cancer and the role or rehabilitation in training them.
