Cardiac Amyloidosis: An Increasingly Recognized Entity

Most cardiac amyloidosis cases are due to immunoglobulin light chain amyloidosis (AL) and transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR). Amyloid-induced cardiomyopathy has distinct characteristics compared to non-amyloid cardiomyopathies. As a result, specific management strategies are needed. In this online course, Dr. Bush reviews the pathophysiology and subtypes of cardiac amyloidosis and discuss the available and emerging therapies.
