Review of Common Sleep Disorders: Tools for Better Care
This online course will provide important practical, evidence-based strategies in diagnostic classification of sleep disorders in order to improve awareness of the conditions, promote a broad differential diagnosis and facilitate a systematic diagnostic approach.
Target Audience
Family physicians, general internists, hospitalists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, dietitians and respiratory therapists (direct delivery).
Learning Objectives
- Define the diagnostic classification of sleep disorders associated with medical and neurologic disorders.
- Recognize the seven major categories of sleep disorders.
- Assess and formulate an individualized treatment plan for patients with a history of sleep disorders.
