Dental Oncology Conference Series: Non-surgical Periodontal Therapy in Cancer Patients

Periodontitis has been associated with a number of other systemic diseases, including respiratory disease, chronic kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis, cognitive impairment, obesity, metabolic syndrome and cancer.  During this conference, participants will learn how to identify cancer patients who might or might not respond to conventional periodontal therapy.

Target Audience

Primary Care Physicians, Dentists, Otolaryngologists, Gastroenterologists, Radiologists, Medical Oncologists, Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, Surgeons, Pathologists, Hospitalists and Nurses.

 

Learning Objectives

  • Identify patients who might/might not respond to conventional periodontal therapy.
  • Incorporate new tools/devices as adjuncts to nonsurgical periodontal therapy.
