Summary of Roles and Responsibilities of the CME Course Director

 

Thank you for your interest in serving as a Course Director for a Baptist Health CME Conference, Series, or Symposium. The Baptist Health CME team, the CME Committee, and the rest of the medical staff sincerely value your dedication.

Baptist Health CME oversees and provides leadership, support, and guidance in developing CME activities designed to improve physician competence and/or performance to improve patient care and outcomes, as described in the CME Mission Statement. Team CME manages activity planning, design, faculty communication, commercial support and exhibitors, financial disclosure and mitigation process, clinical content review, compliance with HIPAA, PHI and copyright, social media marketing, digital marketing, digital signage and meeting logistics. A CME Manager facilitates the intricate process of complying with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education's (ACCME) Criteria and the Standards for Integrity and Independence.
