COURSE DESCRIPTION: 
Please join us for a discussion on “The Good…and “Bad” of Exercise and Sports: Cardiophysiology and Arrythmology“ with Daniel S. Goldman, M.D., FACC, FHRS. Dr. Goldman will review the benefits and potential harm of exercise, discuss the impact of exercise on the cardiovascular system and explain the basic concepts and issues with screening, among other topics.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Internal Medicine Physicians, Pharmacists, Physician Assistants, Residents,  Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and all other interested healthcare providers

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Discuss the benefits and potential harm of exercise.  
  • Conduct a proper screening to evaluate the impact of exercise to the cardiovascular system. 
  • Differentiate inherited or acquired Sudden Cardiac Death and arrhythmias in athletes. 
  • Apply strategies to properly evaluate return to play.
