COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Please join us for a conference on the Comprehensive Management of Persons with HIV in 2024 with William R. Short, M.D., MPH.
Dr. Short will discuss when to initiate an appropriate initial antiretroviral therapy regimen for people with HIV, and apply the latest recommendations –– Primary Care Guidance for Persons with HIV –– of the HIV Medicine Association of the Infectious Diseases Society of America to optimize care engagement, medication adherence and viral suppression in people with HIV.

Internal Medicine Physicians, Pharmacists, Physician Assistants, Residents, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and all other interested healthcare providers
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Initiate an appropriate initial antiretroviral therapy regimen for people with HIV.
- Apply the latest recommendations –– Primary Care Guidance for Persons with HIV –– of the HIV Medicine Association of the Infectious Diseases Society of America to optimize care engagement, medication adherence and viral suppression in people with HIV.
- Implement recommendations from the Guidance, including those for management of comorbidities, such as heart disease and cancer and the associated challenges of polypharmacy.
