COURSE DESCRIPTION

A multidisciplinary team approach to care is fostered through peer-to-peer discussion and collaboration. The team diagnosis and treatment, includes radiological, pathological findings and immunohistochemical testing, bridges these gaps across the continuum of care in order to enhance the overall quality of patient-centered general cancer care.   

TARGET AUDIENCE: 

Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, General Surgeons, Pathologists, Radiologists, Pharmacists, Nurses, Social Workers, Patient Care Facilitators and all personnel involved in the care of the cancer patient. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 

  •  Apply American Joint Commission on Cancer guidelines tumor staging techniques to establish a stage grouping and for optimal treatment plan development.
  •  Develop a comprehensive treatment plan for breast cancer patients leveraging imaging, pathology and immunohistochemical results to meet radiology, pathology, surgery, medical oncology, timeliness of care standards and tumor board documentation standards of practice.
