COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This activity addresses professional practice gaps relevant to practice of urology. Physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) will be better able to examine urology cases, identify real-time practice gaps through collegial discussion and develop treatment plans for complex urology patients. 

Participation in the morbidity and mortality rounds are by invitation only. 
 

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Physicians, Physician Assistants/Physician Associates and Advance Practice Registered Nurses who are part of the BHMG Urology interdisciplinary team.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

•    Examine urology cases and the role of new technologies for diagnosis and treatment.   
•    Apply urology clinical practice guidelines and best practices strategies in clinical practice for routine and complex urology cases to reduce complications, hospitalizations, and reoperation rates.  
•    Leverage an interdisciplinary approach to the care of urology patient to improve collaboration. 
•    Address the needs of underserved populations with limited resources.  
•    Utilize the American Urological Association (AUA) comprehensive guidelines for various urological conditions to reduce variability and improve delivery of care.
