COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The practice of oncology within urology is changing quickly. Dr. Caso will lead participants in learning the best, most cost-efficient and diagnostically sound way to evaluate common problems in urology, such as the evaluation of hematuria and hydronephrosis.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Urologists, General Surgeons, General Practitioners, Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Hospitalists, Nurses and all other interested healthcare professionals.   
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

  • Discuss new medical treatments, such as the rise of PD-1 and PD-L1 inhibitors, and the appropriate indications for referral. 
  • Implement the latest and most up-to-date treatments and technological advances for well-known malignancies, as well as discuss strategies to implement these within our practices.  
  • Evaluate and assess the overtreatment of relatively indolent conditions, e.g., prostate cancer and PSA testing.
