Echocardiography and Noninvasive Vascular Testing Lecture Series: Identifying and Classifying Wall Motion Abnormalities in Echocardiography
Identifying myocardial wall motion abnormalities is an essential part of a reading for echocardiography. Recognizing abnormal wall motion can help differentiate a diagnosis of coronary artery disease from conduction disease and right ventricular dysfunction from pericardial disease. Accurate assessment is essential to guide management and prognosis. In this talk we will review echocardiographic cases of abnormal wall motion and the pathological disease associated with it. Numerous echocardiographic techniques are used in the assessment, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.
Target Audience
Cardiologists, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, echocardiography and noninvasive vascular testing specialists, nurses, sonographers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists.
