COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Critical Care Grand Rounds is a monthly multidisciplinary conference series designed to provide up-to-date, informative lectures on timely topics aimed at enhancing critical care practice and improving patient outcomes. Presentations are delivered by experts within the Baptist Health South Florida System as well as visiting professors specializing in various aspects of ICU care.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Critical Care Physicians, Cardiologists, Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Emergency Medicine Physicians, Nephrologists, Pulmonologists, Infectious Disease Physicians, Neurologists, Gastroenterologists, Hospitalists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists and other interested healthcare providers.  

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Engage in discussions regarding the importance of palliative care and medical ethics as integral parts of critical care.
  • Analyze information from multidisciplinary critical care reviews and critically evaluate and exchange key insights for incorporation into practice.
  • Identify, differentiate, and develop the collaborative roles of nursing, pharmacology, and respiratory therapy within the multidisciplinary approach to critical care.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

Successful completion of this course is submitted to specialty boards through the ACCME's PARS system.
