COURSE DESCRIPTION:  
Lung cancer is the third most common cancer in the United States and more people die from lung cancer than any other type of cancer. Over 80% of these deaths are linked to the use of tobacco and primary prevention can successfully decrease the cancer burden. Please join us for Screening for Lung Cancer is now Standard Therapy with guest faculty, John Roberts, M.D.

TARGET AUDIENCE: 
Internal Medicine Physicians, Physician Assistants, Residents,  Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Pharmacists and all other interested healthcare providers. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Review and discuss the literature about the dangers of lung cancer including those supporting lung cancer screening.
  • Examine the strategies to encourage patients with risk of lung cancer screened.
