COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

Venous Thromboembolism can sometimes occur with obvious signs. Please join us for DVT and Venous Thromboembolism – Another Update with guest faculty, Ralph Palumbo M.D., as he will review the guidelines on both the prevention and therapy of deep vein thrombosis and venous thromboembolic disease, discuss new updates to the prior guidelines specifically addressing management of DVT/VTE and outline and implement an evidence-based plan for the diagnosis and management of DVT/VTE.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Internal Medicine Physicians, Physician Assistants, Residents, Podaitrists, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Pharmacists and all other interested healthcare providers.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Review the guidelines on both the prevention and therapy of deep vein thrombosis and venous thromboembolic disease. 
  • Discuss new updates to the prior guidelines specifically addressing management of DVT/VTE.
  • Outline and implement an evidence-based plan for the diagnosis and management of DVT/VTE.
